Our purpose
To Develop Future Female Leaders
Who Promote Social Change and Peace.
LEAPS for Peace is a non-profit focused on leadership exchange and public service to promote peace.
OUR MISSION: Our mission is to promote social change and peace through leadership education and exchange programs between girls in the US and in developing countries. Our goal is to develop student’s leadership style so they can utilize their strengths, skills and experience to promote social change and peace across the globe. Our leadership programs give girls the opportunity to connect with others around the world in order to become a global citizen. This experience provides an opportunity to learn about what global leadership can look like and how they can personally take action to make a difference in the world.

How we connect and grow
The LEAPS Program
OUR INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM: Focuses on leadership education during a cultural exchange program in a developing country. US students travel to a developing country and attend the program with students in the host country. Students learn about their own leadership style, cultural differences in leadership and what it means to be a global citizen. While in the host country the students also learn about that country’s history and culture and share the US culture with the students in that country. They work on a community public service project as a team in order to make an impact in the local community. Students are girls that are rising sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school in the US and we target similar ages in the developing countries.
OUR DOMESTIC PROGRAM: Due to COVID 19 we are now offering Leadership Development Programs for girls and young adult women in the US only. We are partnering with US non-profits to deliver leadership training and cultural exchange programs in Summer 2023.
If you are interested in leadership training for your non-profit female leaders or for girls who are apart of your non-profit please contact us. We will discuss individual training programs designed for your team and or members.
How we make a difference
A simple process
LEAPS for Peace partners with schools and organizations in developing countries to organize an annual two week leadership exchange program between June- August each year.
We select students to participate based on; academic success, demonstrated leadership ability, cultural awareness, curiosity and a deep passion for promoting peace.
US parents pay for their student and that fee also covers the cost for a student in a developing country to attend the leadership exchange program for free.
Costs include all program costs, local travel, accommodation, food and the social good project. Costs do not include international flights, travel and medical insurance, passport/visas and any shots needed for the trip.
We also have a few scholarships available for US students who may not have the funds to attend the program.
